Penn State Football Eve

Penn State Football Eve starts the festivities the night before the Nittany Lions' season opener and Coach Bill O'Brien's first game on the Penn State sidelines. There will be a festival-like atmosphere surrounding Beaver Stadium Friday evening starting at 6:00 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. pep rally inside the stadium with the team and O'Brien. Several Penn State head coaches are expected to participate in the Football Eve program. Admission and parking are free for Penn State Football Eve. The Nittany Lions' 126th season opener is against Ohio Saturday at noon. (Penn State Football Page)

Downtown Cruise

Bring What You Got is the theme of the 6th Annual Downtown Cruise in Altoona 4 to 9pm this Saturday.  $3 entry donation benefits local charities, and food sales will be will be from local non-profit organizations. Live music by Band of Gold. No pets are allowed. It’s presented by the Blair County Antique Auto Club and the City of Altoona. Listen to live music, eat some tasty food and check out the great cars.
