Baby Sensory

Multi-award winning baby development classes. Sensory-rich experiences delivered by professional teachers in a fun, educational way.  Classes run throughout the year.

Our classes will introduce your baby to a world of sensory delights. Where the two of you can relax, have fun and share some truly special times all year round.  For ours is a magical world, full of glowing balls, light shows, puppets, bubbles, rainbows, massage, signing and songs, with new activities introduced every week.  Imagination is a vital part of childhood and together we'll dance in the snow or dive under the waves, trek through a rainforest or sing shanties with pirates.

What makes our multi-award winning programme so special is that every element is carefully designed with your baby's development in mind.  Much of our equipment and many of the songs are unique to us, and there's decades of research built into the programme.  We feel it's important that we share our knowledge with you, regularly explaining what we're doing and why.  The first year of your baby's life is one of the most important.  Soon after birth the brain starts creating two million new connections every second!  So we love helping you make the most of this amazing time in your baby's life.

You can join us at any ti me - classes are suitable from birth - and we'd encourage you to begin as soon as you feel able.  It's a lovely way to make new friends and for you to share tips and experiences at a time when you'll probably really appreciate the support.  Attending weekly classes throughout the year is also great for getting out of the house; helping add some structure to a life that's probably very different for you right now.

Whilst every session is unique, the sessions are structured to follow the natural play-rest-play cycle of babies.  This helps avoid them becoming over or under-stimulated and routine is important for their security and development.

You'll begin with time on the mats, singing songs, signing, smelling different scents, playing an instrument or two.  You might even see a rain cloud, have a boogie or learn some foreign words.

Next is exploration-time where your baby will love exploring the play area, which changes every week.  Here they'll find a ball pit, climbing frames, toys and sensory mats.  It's also a great time for you to have a relaxed chat with other parents, change or feed your baby.

Then it's back to the mats for more songs, a light or disco show, a floating parachute, signing, a bit of massage and often some tummy time - it's important for babies to have plenty of that.  Finally, we'll always end with some quiet time and our lovely goodbye song.

It's fantastic that many parents enjoyed Baby Sensory so much with their children that they've since joined us as teachers.  This includes a rigorous one-year training, shadowing and research.  A really important fact is that every session has an incredibly detailed lesson plan which all teachers must learn thoroughly.  Most have taken weeks to produce and are often about 16 pages long!  We've done the research so you can enjoy the fun.

Many of our classes will continue to run throughout the summer, so you no longer need to worry what to do when most classes are closing down for the school holidays!

Win Summertime Fun with Quut Beach Toys worth 50!

Quut has completely reinvented the humble bucket and spade - no more broken buckets or snapped shovels: with Quut you get strong, multi-purpose and fun-filled toys that will last for years.

Ballo is a spherical bucket that makes carrying water a doddle.  The soft-to-touch ball fits comfortably in little hands and the four-way spout allows precision pouring - perfect for your little moat makers.

The Alto is a new way to build strong sandcastles and tiered structures.  Pack in the sand and build in layers easily.  Start with the largest ring, fill with sand and flatten the top, place the next ring on top and repeat.  When all three layers have been added, slowly remove the rings for the most robust sandcastle on the beach - no crumbling turrets with Alto.  The three Alto rings nest inside each other for easy storage.

Scoop and dig deep with Scoppi.  Grown-ups and kids love Scoppi, which also has a sand sieve that clips in and out of the Scoppi's frame.  You don't have to stop at sand - great in snow and mud too.
