April 2017
Your Chamber Comes to You!

Starting this spring, your Chamber will be hosting meetings throughout Muskegon County where surrounding businesses can get together and meet for some casual networking.

We are calling these meetings "Business Neighbors Connect" and they will happen quarterly.  Contact Sue Carpenter for more information about a Business Neighbors Connect coming near you or how you can get involved.
Website Traffic Increases

Your Chamber website is your resource for upcoming events, relocation information, and Muskegon County information as a whole. It is also a platform to promote you as effectively as possible. Your business is highlighted through community news, the business directory, events, and more.

We are excited to report that website numbers continue to improve. Compared to last year, your Chamber website is up over 26% in total page views! In addition, there is an increase of 15% in total sessions and we have an increased average visit duration time and pages viewed per sessions. Last year, more than 145,000 people visited the Chamber website and that number is expected to continue growing! When's the last time you have checked out the Chamber website? Visit it today!
The Billboards are Up!

Have you noticed the new Silent Observer billboards around town? There are several different messages promoting the program.

Silent Observer continues to improve the system. Thanks to the support from our Chamber members, recent investments have been made in new technology to increase the number and quality of crime tips being submitted.

“The new software makes it easy for people to provide information in a completely confidential manner”, says Tom Schultz, Chair of the Silent Observer Advisory Committee.

For more information, visit the Silent Observer website.

Cleaning Increases Business
Spring is finally here! With spring comes your typical annual spring cleaning. It is a great time to clean your business exterior and parking lots. Research shows that customers notice the exterior of your building!

It is important that all of the businesses in Muskegon do what they can to beautify their own property. Some examples of how you can do this include:
  • Picking up garbage around property
  • Sweep up cigarette buds
  • Wash windows
  • Freshen up flowers
  • Review paint condition
In addition to business clean ups, there are several organized community clean ups scheduled to help keep Muskegon beautiful. Click here to learn more!
