Moonlight Dining on the Boulevard
is  a Smashing Success!

Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED) and the businesses on Brookline Boulevard hosted "Moonlight Dining on the Boulevard" on Tuesday, July 11th. Our intent was to test the idea this summer and if it went well, to host several next year.
The event was very successful, with over 2000 people in attendance, and lots of positive feedback the night of the event.

We are looking for additional feedback from guests who attended the event, as well as those who might attend in the future.
Please click this link to take our survey and send it to your friends!

In addition to promoting businesses in Brookline, the event fostered a strong sense of community and created Havertown pride!
One of the many large groups of family, friends and neighbors eating together!
Guests were encouraged to stop into the stores that stayed open.
In addition to seatings which required reservations, there were several other great options for walk-ins.
The Boulevard was THE place to be and be seen on July 11th!
Testa's Bakery and Koffmeyer's Cookies and Ice Cream provided dessert.
Haverford Home & Garden Show under Construction
HPED is excited to announce that we have begun to organize the first Haverford Home & Garden Show, which will be held at Haverford Reserve on Sunday April 15, 2018.

The show will include vendor booths, a marketplace, workshops and presentations throughout the day, food trucks, door prizes, and more!

Stay tuned for opportunities to be a sponsor or vendor at the event.  We will be offering HPED business members priority registration and reduced fees for vendor booths.

We are currently looking for community members who would be interested in volunteering to work on the planning committee and/or on the day of the event.  Help with one of the following:

Welcome to Wiedenman Architects!

This month HPED welcomes Wiedenman Architecture on 23 E. Eagle Road!

Tom Wiedenman, a Havertown resident for 13 years, opened his firm in 2007 but has been working in the architecture and construction fields for over 20 years. He developed his passion for art and design at Drexel University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture. During that time, he also worked for a construction company, further cultivating his knowledge and concentration on architecture.

Wiedenman worked in several architectural firms before he decided to open his own business. “I wanted to work on entire projects and not just deal with some aspect of one,” explained Tom in an interview. “We’re a smaller firm, but we take the time to pay close attention to detail and to our clients so that we meet all of their needs. That’s what sets us apart from larger firms.”

That’s not the only distinct feature of Wiedenman Architecture. The firm recently moved into their new office in the historic Oakmont business district. Renovations are underway as the firm seeks to preserve and restore the historic storefront façade which has been concealed for years. The indoor office space has been fully remodeled while the outdoor construction is expected to be completed by mid-August. This project will not only reflect the firm’s craft but also serve to maintain the artistic beauty and history of the district.

HPED applauds their excellent work on the facade, and the community looks forward to seeing the storefront finished! For more information about Wiedenman Architecture and their services please visit www.wiedenmanarch.com.
