What a wonderful school year this has been! As we come to a close, I want to thank each of you that have contributed in any way to make the 2016-2017 school year such a success. Our top notch PTA board, outstanding teachers and staff, and your strong partnership has made this year one of the best yet.
As we begin preparing for summer here are a few reminders:
-Computer Collection will end on Monday, May 22
-5th Grade Bridging Ceremony on May 23 (HCMS Gym)
-PreK Graduation on May 23 @ 12:30 (Library)
-Report cards and supply lists come home on May 25
-Post Cards will be mailed in July with placements for the upcoming school year.

PTA Board Opening
The HCES PTA is seeking a candidate to fill a vacancy in the 2017-2018 Board of Directors for the VP, After School Enrichment position.
We are seeking an organized individual to coordinate with club instructors and school personnel to set up after school clubs. Duties include attending monthly board meetings, communicating effectively with instructors, securing rooms for club use, creating a sign up for the clubs in the Fall and Spring and collecting the club forms. Girls on the Run |
Hampton Cove Elementary
Welcome to Girls on the Run of North Alabama!
We are very excited to launch our first season of Girls on the Run of North Alabama, here, at Hampton Cove Elementary. You are our first Huntsville City School! Beginning this fall, a team of up to 15 girls in grades 3rd-5th will have the opportunity to participate in this fun afterschool program.
Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based positive youth development program designed to develop and enhance girls' social, psychological, and physical competencies to successfully navigate life experiences.
Registration for the Fall 2017 team will begin August 7th. We welcome interested adults to find ways to join in the fun as a Volunteer Coach, Event Volunteer or Running Buddy. Please take a look at our website
