Headwaters Tourism has recently launched a new business-to-business industry website for tourism industry stakeholders in the region.

On the Headwatersb2b.ca site tourism stakeholders will find valuable information to  support their tourism business, including news & events, workshops & training opportunities, industry resources available locally, provincially and nationally, and of course information about Headwaters Tourism, our mandate, our programs and opportunities for you to get involved.

As the regional destination marketing organization for the Towns of Caledon, Erin, Mono & Shelburne, and all of Dufferin County, we look forward to working with our municipal partners, as well as tourism operators and community and business organizations, in order to support strong & viable communities throughout Headwaters.

ORANGEVILLE BLUES & JAZZ ARTISTIC DIRECTOR WINNER OF MAPLE BLUES AWARD 
 
The Toronto Blues Society recently announced the recipient of the Blues Booster of the Year Award, a very special Maple Blues Award honouring outstanding contribution to the Canadian blues music industry.

This year the Blues Booster of the Year Award goes to Orangeville, Ontario's Larry Kurtz, the founder and artistic director of the popular Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival.

Share experiences at annual environmental workshop - March 5th

Community-based environmental groups are invited to participate in the fifth Sharing Experiences Workshop, held on March 5 at Puslinch Community Centre in Guelph. This workshop is organized by local conservation authorities and environmental organizations, and features a keynote address by Gord Miller, former Environmental Commissioner of Ontario.  
Ontario Trail User Survey

The
province recently released the 2014 Ontario Trail User Survey, that highlighted the estimated economic benefit of hiking trail use in Ontario in 2014 was $1.365 billion; and that survey respondents highlighted trail usage improved mental health (91%), physical health (90%) and sense of well-being (90%). The province has also released the Trails Action Plan for the Ontario Trails Strategy. Details available

Waterloo Wellington Dufferin Workforce Planning Board - Employer Survey

This annual survey providers employers the opportunity to communicate their combined workforce needs to stakeholders, colleges, universities, school boards, and employment service providers, who can provide solutions. Complete the survey by January 31, 2016


Cheltenham Badlands Master Plan meeting - January 25, 2016
 

A part of the Cheltenham Badlands Master Plan, the Ontario Heritage Trust is seeking public input to help guide conservation at the Badlands.

"Creating and Delivering an Effective Consumer Event Survey" Workshop - February 9, 2016

Ministry of Tourism, Cultural And Sport and Festivals & Events Ontario are working together to develop a workshop and toolkit designed to support the F&E industry in developing and delivering effective onsite consumer surveys.  Participants will receive a Full Event Survey ToolKit including samples of all materials used in the workshop.
