The Key to Fair Housing?

Gentrification and displacement are issues that disproportionately impact people of color. That's why we helped San Mateo County officially acknowledge this reality by working alongside them to complete the region's first-ever "Assessment of Fair Housing," or AFH. The AFH is a key part of federal fair housing law, and is an important first step for San Mateo to begin dismantling generations of racial inequality in housing .
Putting Tenants First

Production. Preservation. Protection. Those are three principles that unite members of CASA-- The Committee to House the Bay Area . It's a group of advocates working on a grand bargain solution to the housing crisis. In our work with CASA, we're especially focused on the "Protection" angle, making sure that tenant protections and combating displacement are front and center.
Understanding the LCFF Alphabet Soup

We get it. Local Control Funding Formula. It's not an easy name to remember or an easy law to understand. That's why we created these handy explainer sheets to help you better understand LCFF!
