Golden Triangle Leadership- APPLICATIONS LIVE FOR THE 2017-2018 YEAR NOW!

Golden Triangle Leadership (GTL) is sponsored by Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce, Greater Starkville Development Partnership, and Growth Alliance. Our goal is to bring the leaders of the Golden Triangle together in order to strengthen the bond and development between all three regions. GTL will enhance the leadership potential of emerging and experienced leaders through 10 sessions from October until June. There will be one session each month, with the exception of two in October. These sessions are designed to offer a comprehensive, interactive experience for the participants and for them to learn about pertinent issues within our region, have networking opportunities with business leaders, and gain knowledge about our community. Sessions will cover team building, community development, economic development, industry, education, government, and media and leadership training.

Our mission is to bring the leaders of the Golden Triangle together by providing networking opportunities and sessions that cover important community aspects and address varying issues within our community through tours, speakers, Q & A, and hands on experiences, all while teaching the GTL class how they can be effective leaders and effectively solve issues within the Golden Triangle.

We believe that strong leaders build strong communities, and strong communities increase the quality of life for all. The Golden Triangle area resolves to continue as a thriving and highly productive area of Mississippi. The mission of Golden Triangle Leadership program is to provide networking, leadership development, community problem solving, and partnership opportunities for residents of the area interested in enhancing individual and community success.

Lowndes Young Leaders

The 2017-18 Lowndes Young Leader year will begin before you know it! We loved getting the opportunity to speak to our new Lowndes Young Leaders and their parents last week. We look forward to an awesome year to get underway this month!

Military Affairs Committee

What is Pilot for a Day?

Pilot for a Day is one of the Military Affairs Committee programs and one of the Chamber's most valuable programs. This program designates seriously ill children from Mississippi as Pilots for a Day at Columbus Air Force Base. Children receive custom tailored flight suits, a tour of the base, and an airplane and aircraft simulator ride. Children and their families are treated to lunch on base and a personalized, once-in-a-lifetime experience at our local military base. Community sponsors make all this possible with generous sponsorship for each Pilot for a Day.
