Pastor's Letter

February 26, 2016

Dear Friends,

As I was growing up, one house we lived in had a faulty foundation. Depending on the amounts of melting snow from New England winters, water would seep in. After a couple of times of this happening, my parents had the foundation repaired and, after that, it remained sound. The storms of this past week remind us of how important a strong, sound foundation is to the sturdiness of a house.
Strong foundations are necessary, not only for buildings, but for lives, as well. What are the values on which we build the foundations of our lives; our children's lives; our grandchildren's lives?   In this week's message, we'll look at the foundation Jesus laid out for we who would follow him; a foundation that enables us to live well, and also withstand the storms of life.    Prior to worship, please try to read Matthew 5:1 through 7:27.
I look forward to worshiping this you this Sunday. Please be in prayer for people who do not have a church home and for how God is calling each of us, at Buckhall United Methodist Church, to reach out to them.
Yours in Christ,
Linda
We need eggs! We need wrapped candy! We need non-candy items! The Easter Egg Hunt is coming !   Saturday, March 19th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. This is a significant opportunity for Buckhall UMC to welcome our community's children and their families to join us in some fun. So all hands on deck!  We need hands to help with preparations, set-up, presentation, and clean-up.   Please prayerfully consider being one of the coordinators for next year's Easter Egg Hunt.
