Pastor's Letter

May 20, 2016
Dear Friends,
This Sunday, we will celebrate Pentecost, the outpouring of God's spirit on Jesus' followers which empowered them to share the good news of Jesus Christ. That same Spirit moves in our lives. In celebration of Pentecost, we invite you to wear something red, the traditional worship color of Pentecost. This Sunday we will also be blessed by the music of the brass quintet, The Main Street Quintet.

***Next Sunday is Memorial Day Weekend where we traditionally read the names of those who have fallen in combat. Please send the name (with rank), branch of service, and war/conflict in which they died. Please e-mail bumc.secretary1@verizon.net

As Christ's body we are blessed to be a blessing to our neighbors around us. There are people in our community who do not have a church home. God is calling each of us to reach out to them.   Please be in prayer. How is God asking you to reach out? You all continue in my prayers.
Yours in Christ,
Linda
