Current Needs:
Bike Locks, Coats, Men's Seasonally Appropriate Clothing, Deodorant, Razors

This year will be very busy, and we need your support.  Our kitchen is preparing to offer a new meal in a partnership with the Salvation Army on Grant Street on Monday's, beginning March 14 . This means more nutritious meals, to more people in need.

Working with community partners we are able to keep our cost low, but still need more high quality food donations.  Marty, our new Chef, is extraordinary, but he's only as good as his ingredients.  His wish list includes: large cuts of beef, sausages, fresh produce, heavy cream, olive oil, and spices.  Our menus are prepared only a few days in advance, so Marty prefers you email him if you want to make a donation with what you may bring and when you plan to drop it off.  He also would like an experienced volunteer Sous chef from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays and Mondays to clean and prepare vegetables.  His email is .

The food pantry is serving more families, but our shelves that contain the extras everyone enjoys are low.  These products often include soups, cereals, spices, Jell-O, pudding, and noodles to name a few.  Personal care items including shavers and deodorant are also in short supply.

Our 5K run and walk through Buffalo's historic west side is Sunday, April 3.   The past few years we have had great weather, great participation, and raised over $10,000 annually.  It really is a great Sunday morning event for runners.  Walkers enjoy this time of year as you see much of the detailed architecture in this area before the leaves grow and block the views.  We want to thank our presenting sponsors National Grid and Rich Products.  We hope to see you there.

Many Thanks,

Help us plan for a brighter future

Friends of Night People recognizes that we are a partner in the Western New York community. Through the support of this community, we reduce hunger and provide compassion to those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and other health related issues. We appreciate your support, and value your feedback to this survey that will help us to become an even more valuable partner.

Please answer the 12 question survey that should take  no more than 5 minutes to complete.

Friends of Night People will use the survey results to guide our work in the community during the upcoming years. We will never stray from our primary purpose to provide meals and food at our soup kitchens, pantry, or with other partners. We believe food brings people together, and our ability to leverage this resource to provide additional services might further help those we serve.

The deadline to complete the survey is 5 p.m. Friday, March 11.

Spring It On, a one-day fundraising campaign brought to you by the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County , will take place Thursday, March 24. Help us achieve our goal of $600.00, which equates two meals at each of our 4 locations throughout the City of Buffalo.

Last year, our goal was $500.00 and with the amazing support of the community, we were able to secure $975.00.

You can be part of the celebration by giving back to the community. Donate here on March 24.
