As a supporter of this fundraiser, Dr. Day Care is inviting you to support this local effort to bring "The Moving Wall" to Rhode Island:
Bring The Moving Wall to Ponaganset High School
"The Moving Wall" is the half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for thirty plus years. When John Devitt attended the 1982 dedication in Washington, he felt the positive power of "The Wall." He vowed to share that experience with those who did not have the opportunity to go to Washington.

John, Norris Shears, Gerry Haver, and other Vietnam veteran volunteers built The Moving Wall. Two structures of The Moving Wall now travel the USA from April through November, spending about a week at each site.
Help the Ponaganset High School bring the Moving Wall to their school!

From the Valley Breeze: Ponaganset High School history teacher Christopher Stanley’s class had just finished viewing Ken Burns’ newest film, “The Vietnam War,” when one student asked if the class could go to Washington, D.C., and see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in person.

“I’ve got a better idea. I’ll bring the wall to you,” Stanley said.

No, Stanley will not be dragging the entire two-acre memorial up the coast. Instead, he’s undertaking a $50,000 fundraising effort to bring the Moving Wall, a half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, to Ponaganset High School from Nov. 1 to Nov. 5, 2018.
