C & W AERO SERVICES COLLECTING ITEMS FOR OUR TROOPS

As some of you may recall, over the past several years C&W Aero Services has collected Sports equipment and such to send over to an Army Artillery Battalion that we have kind of adopted. It’s the Battalion my Cousin Bill served in during Vietnam and once again these Brave Solders have been deployed.

So once again C&W is collecting games, sports equipment, toiletries and snacks to send to our Brave Men and Women Defending Our Freedom over in Afghanistan. As a Veteran myself, I can tell you that being in a Combat Zone is not fun and at times can be the most lonely and boring place in the world, even with all the action around you. Anything they can do to occupy their mind helps. That’s where you come in by helping us collect this equipment.

The Solders we are sending the equipment and supplies to are out in the field so anything needing a hard surface to be used is unusable. Also, anything requiring a big field to be used is also unusable because over there, playing outside in a big field can be hazardous to your well being. I hear the winters over there are pretty harsh so that is also a reason for indoor games.

The following is a Sample list of equipment and things we are trying to collect to send over:
Board Games of all kinds (This is the Most Requested)
Card Games
Indoor Games
Baseballs and Gloves
Soccer Balls
Footballs
Toiletries (shaving cream/gel, deodorant, shampoo, etc. in small packaging)
Snack type foods in small packages so they can be taken out in the field on patrol. Things like nuts, chips, jerky, etc.

We will be collecting things here at the Hangar and shipping them over as the stuff comes in.

Please feel free to forward this email on to your entire email list.

If you have any questions here is my contact information and address to deliver or send us the stuff.

PS; If the amount of stuff you are donating is too large to send, give me a call and I will do my best to arrange a pick up.
Also anyone having large boxes that we can use to ship stuff in, please let me know. I think the max size is max 102 “ L/W/H
