Help Us Put More Families
On The Path To Recovery
"Our daughter's illness could have easily turned our world upside down financially; thanks to HelpHOPELive, that didn't have to happen."
-Jereme, Alma's dad

Alma is well on her way to recovery.

Meet Alma Claussen, a bright, happy, energetic 18-month old who has recently begun walking, climbing, running, and even picking up a few words. Looking at her now, you would never guess that shortly after she was born, Alma was diagnosed with biliary atresia,

Even though Alma's family has health insurance, they still faced tremendous expenses involved in the cost of listing their daughter for a liver transplant at multiple centers and relocating for Alma to receive treatment. To help offset these major expenses, Alma's family initiated a fundraising campaign with HelpHOPELive to rally their community around the newest member of their family.

Thanks to the support of donors just like you, Alma received her new liver in February, and her family was able to successfully finance her care.

This holiday season, Alma and the Claussens are celebrating the greatest gift of all: the gift of life. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to HelpHOPELive's General Operating Fund today, and help us enable more families in need to receive this same precious gift.
Did You Know?
Biliary atresia affects around 1 in 20,000 infants in America each year, and is the leading cause of liver failure and transplantation in children. Costs for liver transplants can top $577,000 in the first year alone.

The mission of HelpHOPELive is to support community-based fundraising for people with unmet medical and related expenses due to cell and organ transplants or catastrophic injuries and illnesses.
