As many of you may already know, the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory's site in Lake Jackson, Texas was impacted by hurricane Harvey flooding. Our grounds were totally under water for over a week and our field house was submerged under 10 inches of water and had to be completely gutted in order to rebuild. We estimate that the cost of repairing the flood damage will be around $12,000 . Donations will go directly into restoring our site which include things like:

·         Replace sheetrock and insulation
·         Paint all rooms
·         Replace kitchen and bathroom cabinets
·         Replace most interior doors
·         Replace carpet and linoleum tiles
·         Replace some furniture and appliances
