Our Recent Shahada @ Facebook
We would like to showcase our most recent convert on Facebook- Congratulations to D Stevenson! (name shortened for privacy)
Sister is from Michigan and holds a Psychology degree from Michigan State University. She was born into a Christian family but began to research and question her religion. After being exposed to Islam through various individuals, she began to research Islam and developed a strong appreciation of the Qur'an. She found it to be a truthful book of guidance from God.
Sister was apprehensive at first to take the shahadah (declaration of faith which makes one Muslim) because she did not know if she needed to learn Arabic or learn how to pray before she became Muslim. However, after realizing that the only prerequisite for becoming a Muslim is to firmly believe in One God (Allah) and the Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the messenger of God she was eager to become Muslim.
Sister has now embarked on one of the most amazing journey's of her life and by the will of God Almighty, she is determined to increase her knowledge of her religion and implement it in the best manner possible. We pray that God guides her to the right path, bestows His mercy and grace on her and gives her paradise as her eternal abode. Ameen.
