St. Rose Report for December 17, 2017
Please sign up to help the teachers move everything out of their room before they leave for Christmas Vacation!
We will be replacing the floors in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and the staff room over Christmas Vacation. We only have one helper signed up for moving all the things out of our teacher's classrooms on Wednesday. Please email cstrader@strose-school.org to help on Wednesday, December 20 @ 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM.
Flu Season & Illnesses
Children with a fever must not return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours.

Children who are sick and/or have thrown-up must not return to school until 24 hours after their symptoms have left.

Please, please keep your child home if they are not feeling well to keep other students, parents, and staff free from illness.

St. Rose students serve the needs of the community and the world.
Coat and Food Drive
The student council called the school to action last week during morning prayer on Tuesday. They would like our students and families to support with the parish used coat drive. Please bring your gentle used coats, gloves, and hats and/or non perishable food. The high school youth group coat drive goes from December 18 through January 19 so we will continue to the support the parish and the local community after the new year.
Eric Smith Go Fund Me

Jessica Searing has requested that the St. Rose Community keep Eric Smith in our prayers this month. Her cousin, Eric and his family, have been struggling with after he had a stroke on November 20, 2017. Please keep Eric, his family, and the Searing family in your prayers. If you would like to provide additional support please visit the included link.

Fulcrum Foundation Scholarships
Deadline: January 5, 2018
The Fulcrum Foundation has begun its 2018-2019 scholarship application process through FACTs online. All applications must be completed and submitted online by the January 5th deadline to ensure consideration.

We encourage every family to apply for tuition assistance as the Fulcrum Foundation is very generous to those who need financial support of any kind. Grants from Fulcrum Foundation help us to use local scholarship funds to support families who do not qualify for these funds or need additional assistance.

St. Rose Auction

This is our biggest fund-raiser of the year. All families are required to participate in the fundraising for the auction in one of the following ways:

  1. Provide an item or donation valued minimally at $100 that can be auctioned at our event.
  2. Buy-out of the requirement by making a $100 financial donation to assist with underwriting.

To communicate your desire to either donate or buy-out you must complete the St. Rose School Auction form (see image in the right-hand column) by Monday, December 18.
You do not need to have the actual item ready to donate until the New Year.

Families that miss the December 18 deadline will be billed $125 in January to meet their obligation.

Procurement Forms from every family regardless of option chosen are due Monday, December 18.
Box Tops, Bring in
Your Box Tops!
The December deadline for our BoxTop collections are fast approaching. Please check your cereal, snack and other box tops for this emblem or something close to it and send them to St. Rose School in a ziploc for easy processing. We have a generous donor willing to match up to $500 through December 31, 2017. All Box Tops must be turned in by Wednesday, December 20 for the donor to match!
