Times are changing in the service industry with increased costs due to legislative action and our low unemployment rates. As we wrote last week, we pay well above minimum wage and provide benefits but the legislative has significantly increased the minimum wage, sick leave and health insurance costs. These have dramatically affected our labor costs. In addition, the current tremendous economy and record low unemployment rate has also pushed costs up. Even without the new increased minimum wage, the improved economy and low unemployment rate have increased the demand and cost of quality labor. We are very proud of our well trained and veteran staff and we need to keep our pay at a level to retain our skilled staff and hope you understand.
