                     IMTS 2014 PREVIEW                                        AUGUST 2014
See the next generation of honing technology at IMTS

Sunnen Products Company will launch five new honing systems at IMTS (see right) including the new SH-4000. This next-generation, all digital machine takes precision honing to a new level of flexibility, productivity and ease-of-use.

A patent-pending digitally repeatable tool feed system is servo driven and ensures consistent cutting pressure for precise bore geometry. A 400-mm (15.75-in) stroke length adds versatility for longer parts.

New HTR all-electric Tube Hone

The new all-electric HTR series tube hones combine servo precision and cycle-automation features with constant torque delivery to efficiently hone blind bores or correct tight spots in a bore, without operator intervention.

This well-rounded hone brings versatility and productivity to a wide variety of job shop parts.

Five new honing systems demonstrated in booth N-7400

Versatility and precision define new systems

Sunnen brings the latest additions in its honing system lineup to IMTS, highlighting the versatility and precision of the new machines, as well as new tooling and abrasives for faster, more efficient operation.

SH-2000
In addition to the HTR 4000 and SH-4000 systems, the new SH-2000, HTE 1600W and SHH-1680 honing systems will be demonstrated in the Sunnen booth.

HTE 1600W Tube Hone

The HTE 1600W tube hone is equipped with special features needed for long, small-diameter parts. The HTE handles parts up to 1500 mm (59 in) long and has an ID range of 4 to 20 mm (0.15 to 0.79 in). See more about this new machine here.

SSH-1680
Sunnen's new SSH-1680 handles workpieces of almost any size or configuration and cuts all types of materials. The value-priced honing system allows job shops to produce precise, high quality parts, faster and easier than possible with ID grinders.
