nd Temple in Jerusalem (70 CE), Judaism built around itself an impregnable spiritual wall in the form of Halacha. Then the Jewish community in Spain was destroyed and the walls came tumbling down. Challenges to traditional Judaism came from every quarter. Can the roots of these challenges really be traced to the earthquake of the Sephardic catastrophe? Let's debate!
