This will be an introduction to contemplative practice from a Jewish perspective. No prior meditation experience necessary.
 
Exploring Your Personal Judaism

Led by Scott Kushner
An ongoing conversation that gets people really thinking about their own beliefs on topics such as good and evil, destiny vs. free will, ritual and tradition, the meaning of the word "God" and more of Judaism's Big Questions.

ElijahJesusElijah & Jesus: Paradigms & Parallels
Thursdays, May 4, 11 & 18
Led by Rabbi Hirsh
We will look at the stories of Elijah in the Bible and rabbinic writings and then read the Jesus stories from the New Testament. We will discuss ways in which shared as well as divergent teachings about Elijah and Jesus shape the ways Judaism and Christianity come to their teachings on the concept of "the Messiah." While these 3 sessions tie together, every session can also stand alone.

Presentation by Renee Siegal
Despite the horrors Helen Reider endured as a Holocaust Survivor, she persevered, spurred forward by her father's last words to her: "Someone in this family must survive and tell the world what happened here." Honoring her father's last wishes, Mrs. Rieder was a regular Holocaust speaker, education young people until her passing in August 2015. Helen's daughter Renee Seigel is now continuing that tradition. Click here for more information.

Webcasting Team Volunteers: Help the effort to webcast our services to those who are homebound or cannot come to services in person. No experience needed. Contact Bruce Weinger.

Check out the brand new additions to our extensive collection of Judaic fiction and nonfiction, DVDs, audio books on CDs and children's books - all of which can be borrowed at no cost! ShopRite, Acme, Short Hills Deli, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, CVS, Panera Bread and Starbucks gift cards are always available in the synagogue office during regular office hours. CVS gift cards may be used for prescriptions as well as other items.  Please note: We no longer offer online ordering of gift cards.

Recycle Your Empty Ink Jet and Laser Printer Cartridges! Old cell phones, too!
We have collection bins in both the main office and the school office. Drop off during regular office hours. These materials will be recycled and the congregation will receive a cash rebate. A win-win opportunity!
