|
Members of the Palmetto Bay Garden Club
invite you to join them October 22, 2019 at 7 pm
on the second floor at Ludovici Park in the Edward and Arlene Feller Community Room. Novice or pro (and everyone in between) are welcome to join the discussion!
The guest speaker will be horticulturist and teacher Jared Coady, who began gardening at age 17 and went on to earn a degree. A teacher of 15 years, he now manages and teaches all things gardening at the Sunrise School of Miami here in Palmetto Bay. Jared has taught in areas as diverse as Kansas, Central Taiwan, and Miami. He is especially focused on the pro-social qualities of gardening and food and works to weave these aspects together with education.

The Village of Palmetto Bay was awarded a grant from the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization to conduct a local area Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Moves Study for the purpose of enhancing connectivity between the Village and the South Dade Transitway. The Plan will analyze existing Metrobus service, the Village iBus, and identify enhancements to the transit services. The focus is to improve accessibility, connectivity, mobility and safety for pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users through the placement of community-level mobility hubs with the Village’s roadway network. A mobility hub is the convergence of frequent transit, development with mixed uses, density and people to cater to the mass movement of people.
November 6th
and December 11th 2019, Village Hall.
