Thanks to your generous support,

the NNABC is happy to announce

our year-end gift to Niles North athletics

in the amount of...

$30,357

Here's how the funds will be distributed :

#1. Equipment for newly formed

Girls Badminton Team

$4,000 will be donated to help fund equipment for the new girls badminton team.

#2. Team Shelter Covers

for our Vikings and

Opponents

$3,652 will be used to purchase two shelter covers to help athletes and coaches stay warm and dry during inclement weather.

Will benefit football, boys & girls soccer, and boys & girls track.

#3. Tennis Ball Machine

$2,300 will be donated to the tennis program to purchase a ball machine that will allow players to work on reaction skills and get accurate game shots.

#4. Shoot-A-Way

$2,000 will be donated to the

basketball program for a shooting machine. This machine known as "The Gun" can fire up to 1800 shots per hour and has an optional computerized scoreboard that counts and displays makes, total shots and shooting percentage.

#5. Niles North

Back Drop

$2,000 will be used to purchase a new backdrop for photo opps. The current backdrop is wearing thin and needs to be replaced.

#6. 4-customized volleyball pole safety pads

$1,200 will be donated to the volleyball program to purchase 4 safety pads customized with the

Niles North logo.

#7. Bow Net Setting System

$850 will be donated to the volleyball program to purchase a new bow net setting system.

#8. Volleyball Training Aide

$700 will be donated to the volleyball program to purchase an adjustable target that collects balls for more efficient use in drills. It's multiple adjustments make it ideal for refining the skills of passing, serving, spiking and setting.

#9. Athletic Entrance Hallway Pictures

$550 will be used for professional quality pictures of our athletes in action and of our All Conference award recipients, state finalists, etc., to be displayed in the athletic entrance hallway.

Will benefit all students.

#10. School Spirit/Hallway Beautification Project

$2,500 will be used toward replacing old picture frames and purchasing trophy cases or other necessities for the purpose of bringing school spirit and pride to our athletic entrance hallway.

Will benefit all students.

11. Jazz Shoes and Tights

$500 will be donated to the Vikettes Dance Team for items that are outside of the team's budget.

Girls Play Sports Program (GPS)

$3,000

will be used to sponsor this new program at NNHS.

GPS is a non-profit organization dedicated to building leadership skills and confidence in young girls through their exposure to and participation in a wide variety of sports at a young age. Our current female athletes would serve as mentors to young girls from the community who join the program. The program would practice two sports per month, four months per year. Practices will be held at Niles North on Sunday nights from 4-6 pm so as not to interfere with other activities. Our athletes will receive service learning hours for their time and participation.

Will benefit young girls in our community as well as our female high school athletes who will have an amazing opportunity to give back to the community and to inspire young female athletes.

#13. Professional

Development for

Coaches - $2,500

The Booster Club is dedicated to supporting our coaches on and off the field/court. Whether its an inspirational book or a collaborative conference, professional development is key to continuing success.

Hurdles for Track & Field

$2,500

will be donated to the

track and field program purchase new competition hurdles.

#15. Stretch Cords for Swimming

$355 will be donated to the swim program for the purchase of 6 stretch cords which are a versatile tool to use for developing strength and technique in the water and facilitate an entire swim workout if a pool is not readily available, or to use for a race warm-up when not allowed in the water before an event.

#16. Shells for Track & Field

$600 will be donated to the track and field program for the purchase of 6 cases of shells.

#17. New Uniforms for

Wrestling

$500 will be donated to the wrestling team to purchase new compression uniforms for incoming freshmen interested in wrestling.

#18. Video Stabilizer

$150 will be donated to the football program to purchase a video stabilizer .

#19. New Uniform

Tops for the

Bowling Team

$500 will be donated to the Bowling Team for the purchase of new uniform tops.

The following programs either did not have needs at this time, or their needs will be considered first next year.
