For years I have struggled with my weight and energy. I would drink one to two energy drinks a day just to function. I would drink more if I had to drive or do anything more than usual. How to Practice Gratitude
No matter what form your list takes, it's a free and utterly enjoyable way to enrich your life.

"It allows me to continually see what I have and build upon that. I always say in my courses that what you put your attention on in life grows bigger, so if you focus on what you have, your life begins to expand and grow in that direction."
I've found that my practice deepens my experience of life by helping me celebrate little victories (being grateful that I made it to the gym two days in a row), and big ones (getting up the courage to email someone I was nervous about approaching). The list has also changed my habits: After seeing "healthy food" pop up again and again on past lists, now I make a bigger effort to hit the farmers' market every weekend and pack my lunch every day. My list literally helped me reorder my priorities-not to mention save a few bucks.

I know how busy November can be! The last thing we think about is "What's for Dinner?" I've discovered a High Speed Blender can be a busy Mom's best friend. Here's one of my family's favorite - soup from my Vita Mix.
prep time: 5 minutes * processing 5-6 minutes * yield: 5 cups
3 cups vegetables or chicken broth
1 Roma tomato, halved
1 carrot, halved
1 stack celery, halved
1 thin slice of onion, peeled
1 garlic clove, peeled
1 thin slice of yellow squash
1 thin slice of red pepper
1 thin slice of cabbage
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon taco seasoning
1/2 cup cooked chicken, cubed
1/2 fresh jalape�o
1/4 cup pitted olives
1/4 cup unsalted canned or fresh corn
1. Place all soup base ingredients into the High Speed Blender into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2. Select Variable 1
3. Turn machine on and quickly increase spread to Variable 10, then to High
4. Blend for 5-6 minutes or until heavy steam escapes from the vented lid.
5. If adding optional ingredients, reduce speed to Variable 2. Remove the lid plug
6. Drop in chicken, or other ingredients through the lid plug opening. Blend for an additional 10 seconds.
Round out the meal with a greed salad and corn bread.
