Veterans Honored At The Pointe Coupee Parish Veterans Monument

The Meet, Eat BBQ, and Greet a Vietnam Veteran Event was held on March 29, 2017.  It was well attended by Veterans from all branches of the service, from WWII through the current campaign.  The weather started off a little gloomy, but it ended up being beautiful day.  Approximately 75 visitors attended at this event.  Veterans bonded, spoke of their military experiences, and talked about how they are now active in the civilian life.  Many Veterans talked about how they volunteer their services in organizations such as; Together We Serve, The American Legion, Louisiana Veterans Foundation, and some of them help mentor incarcerated Veterans.

The Veterans would like to thank all who attended, cooked, brought food, volunteered, and donated their time to make it a special commemoration day for all Veterans.
