January 2017
Message from Shanon Shea Miller
AICP, Director

It's a new year at OHP, and we can't wait to get started providing new and expanded preservation programs in San Antonio. In February , we will begin hosting a wide range of educational events for realtors, contractors, historic homeowners, and preservation enthusiasts.
Continue reading for more information on our upcoming Window Repair Workshop, Annual Realtor Training, and our first event in the 2017 SApreservation 5k Series.

Also, I’d like to recognize an OHP team member who recently retired after more than 33 years of service. Through his years of service at OHP, Larry Gutierrez has been a tremendous asset to the City of San AntonioWe are grateful for his outstanding and dedicated service to the community and wish him the very best on his retirement and future fishing trips. Congratulations, Larry!

I encourage you to follow OHP through our website and facebook page for information on all of our upcoming events this spring including a pre-fiesta medal unveiling and mini-golf extravaganza at Cool Crest on April 7! We are excited to announce many other new events for the year so be sure to stay tuned.

Finally, if you have recently used a service provided by OHP, please take a moment to provide us with important feedback by taking our customer service survey. The survey is also available on our website at www.sapreservation.com.

Wood windows can be weatherized and repaired to last a lifetime which also helps retain the original character of your historic home. Staff may administratively approve repairs to historic wood windows at the OHP counter, or you can e-mail an application to us at [email protected]

Not sure where to begin? Check out our Guidelines for Historic Windows or make plans to attend the upcoming Wood Window Repair Workshop.
