COTA Selected as Charitable Partner - FOX Sports Supports, FOX Sports' charitable initiative, is partnering in 2012 with the Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise awareness throughout its 19th NFL broadcast season. The Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA) was founded in 1986 when a group of concerned, Bloomington, Indiana, citizens joined hands to raise the funds required so a local toddler could be added to a transplant waiting list. City of Bloomington Promotes Adopt A Shelter Cat Month - June is national Adopt a Cat Month and the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter joins shelters and rescue groups across the country and the American Humane Association in promoting shelter adoptions. Cats younger than 1 year can be adopted two for the price of one, a deal at $75. Cats 1 year and older can be adopted for $20. Included in the fee are spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and testing for feline leukemia and FIV. For more information about adoptable animals call 812-349-3492.
Bloomington Board of Realtors Moves Offices - In an effort to better serve its members, the Bloomington Board of Realtors (BBOR) and its two subsidiary companies, Bloomington Multiple Listing Service, Inc. and BBOR Publications, Inc., are moving their offices. City Completes Inventory of Energy Usage - The City of Bloomington has completed an inventory of energy use across City operations and published the results in the 2010 Local Government Operations Energy Use & Emissions Inventory. This document is available at www.bloomington.in.gov/energyresources. The inventory tracks all energy used by City-owned facilities, fleet vehicles and Bloomington Transit. In recent years, the City has emphasized energy reduction and general conservation through capital investments and process changes. As a result, the City was able to drop electricity consumption at City Hall by 44 percent and by more than 20 percent at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center.

Neighborhood Awards Celebration Announced - The City of Bloomington has announced that the Blooming Neighborhood Awards and Celebration will take place Saturday, June 2. The neighborhood awards will be presented at the Farmer's Market at 10:00 a.m. The Blooming Neighborhood Awards and Celebration provides the City with a venue to recognize and honor its neighborhoods. Neighborhoods can sign up for a table upon where they can display information during Saturday's events from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
