Before joining the M2K program, David earned a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in political science from the University of Pittsburgh. After doing some research, he thought his interest in math and experience in construction would help him transition into the M2K program and work in manufacturing.
The CNC portion of M2K was David's favorite. He enjoyed designing his own parts using the CNC skills he gained during the program.
When asked what advice he has for future students, David said, “If you don’t have a strong background in math, use the resources New Century Careers has available. NCC offers math tutoring and the instructors are willing to help you.”
David was offered a CNC machinist position at a local company.
