Hello Fremont -

I am of mixed opinion on this heat thing. In some ways, I love it, shorts, sweat, summer! And in other ways, I am such a Seattlite. I love grey, cool days. Hum. Oh, well, it's here and I am making the most of it!!

Tuesday is BIG -- Neighbor Night Out and the Primary Election, two civic events on one night. If you are anything like me... a political wonk, you are going to cut out of work early to set up with your neighbors and then be up late checking the election results... huh?!? Am I alone in this? I hope you at least VOTE by Tuesday!!

Looking for something a little more, um, mainstream to-do? Well, save a little as you party -- Barrel Thief is helping with a Thank you Fremont Coupon at the bottom of the Blast!! Thank you Barrel Thief!

Then I want to put a little plug in for a community event that many do not know about. The Fremont Chamber has an annual event with Ride the Ducks and Fremont Brewing Co. called Ducks, Dogs and Suds. This is not your typical Duck ride, if you want some fun networking with local business leaders, well, come Ride with us!

Ok, wait, wait I just have one more, a little explanation about the Fremont Tugboat Company as our featured business. Owner, Margie Freeman, is a force in Fremont -- in the industrial circles at least. Fremont of old was centered on a working waterfront; today, that has changed, but there is still much industry preserved in our community -- I hope that you take time to learn about the industry that is still here in our community and that is vital to the authentic, feel that makes Fremont the Center of the Universe. Learn more from the North Seattle Industrial Association

Have a great weekend!

Fremont Tugboat has been doing business in the Puget Sound and Lake Union area since 1915. Our family owned third generation tugboat company provides our customers with quality service at a fair price. Our captains and crew are our family and the pride we have in our fleet and our business shows in every job we perform. We have a well-founded reputation of being a company who cares about its customers and the maritime community. Fremont Tugboat is known for its soft landings, great attitude and its punctuality. We still believe that our word and a handshake is our bond and the backbone of our company. This is the way "Cap" Webster, "Doc" Freeman and Mark Freeman did business and its the way we do business today. We are on call 24 hours a day and always ready to assist our customers.
