Art Silicon Valley/San Francisco (Art SV/SF) - Art Miami's first international contemporary and modern art fair on the West Coast - is thrilled to partner with Magnolia Pictures to show exclusive screenings of the newly released animated film, "The Hero of Color City" for kids and families. The film is a captivating tale of a diverse band of crayons trying to protect their multi-colored homeland and children's imagination everywhere. In conjunction, the fair will host The Hero of Color City Kids Center, a safe, on-site playroom for children ages three to 13. Children enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to participate in art explorations, games, puzzles and storytelling under the supervision of experienced staff, enabling parents and caretakers to freely roam the fair and acquire works of art.

The Hero of Color City kids programming will benefit Crayon Collection, a global initiative that aids underprivileged students. Families are encouraged to bring gently used crayons to the fair, which Crayon Collection will repurpose for elementary schools and organizations that serve kids in need. $1 of every fair ticket purchased will be donated to this organization, and Art SV/SF has already generously donated $2,000 toward the cause.

The Kids Center will be open Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.; and Sunday, October 12 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The inaugural Art Silicon Valley/San Francisco (Art SV/SF) takes place over Columbus Day Weekend, October 9 -12, 2014. Centrally located between Silicon Valley and San Francisco at the San Mateo Event Center, the fair will present 70 of the world's most respected galleries and art institutions, representing 750 artists from 42 countries including Italy, France, Germany, England, The Netherlands, South Korea, Switzerland and Venezuela, among others.
