Hidden Treasure in Aspen
March 2014
WE'VE MOVED!

We are just loving our new office space located across from the Hudson River, in Croton-On-Hudson! In addition to presenting at our client's home, we can now also hold team meetings in our conference room and make presentations from a large monitor. Just another option to make our clients comfortable, and to exchange information and ideas easily! Our resource library is also onsite to present many different types of finishing samples and materials to personalize each project.

We are still by appointment only (since we are in and out all day) so please let us know if you are interested in stopping by to discuss a new project, see what we are doing, or just to say hello!

FOSSILS IN ASPEN

The town of Aspen has so much to see and do. Great art, shops and restaurants. We decided to take a day off from skiing and walk around. I found this great gallery that had all types of artwork made from fossils! They had gemstones in all different shapes and sizes and even dishes made from stone!

Hidden Treasure in Aspen, Colorado
by Denise Wenacur

If I was a designer in the 1960's I like to think I could have designed a house as creative as this! My family and I stayed in this beautiful log house located in the woods in Aspen, Colorado last week. It was originally designed by Herb & Marcy Balderson many years ago. Herb, who passed away a few years ago, was a master wood worker. His artwork in the form of carved bowls, statues and iron work, graces the walls of this home and the scenic outdoors.

The most magnificent and cozy detail in the house is clearly the large round fireplace in the center of the home. It heats up the entire space, giving a warm glow to the surrounding furnishings. The views from the large picture windows are of Aspen Mountain, or AJAX as the locals call it, and the beautiful surrounding Aspen trees, that really do have eyes that watch you!

The views of Ajax can be seen from the heart shaped hot tub just outside. We enjoyed some real relaxation after a long day of skiing. Nothing like watching the sun go down, and the snowcats start their night shift on the mountain, outside in the fresh air, in steamy water.

The original family still owns the house and resides there in the summer. We certainly enjoyed our visit and our bonding time with nature! ~ DW
