High Fructose Corn Syrup can cause depression along with a host of physical ailments, both immediate and down the road. It is just plain wrong and should not be in anything you eat.
It is one of the biggest problems with the problem of "mindless eating" because when you eat this "quasi-food" the brain registers "sweet" but does NOT trigger the brain chemicals that give you "satisfaction." In other words, you are CONSTANTLY CRAVING MORE - you never feel "full."
I wonder if the junk food industry did that by accident??? Hmmmmmm?
