A MOMENT WITH THE PASTOR
Sunday, September 10, we will begin to emphasize the Myers-Mallory State Missions Offering.  Alabama Baptists gave over $900,000 to this effort, and our church was a lead church giving nearly $20,000.  Monies collected are divided on a percentage basis between Disaster Relief, Woman's Missionary Union, Church Revitalization, and Church Planting.  Offering envelopes will be in the pew racks for your use.  Join Arlinda and me as we give to support these vital ministries.

This Sunday will be James Jackson's last Sunday as our Grow Pastor.  I invite you all to share in a love offering for his family, saying thank you for his ministry with us.  Also, we will honor the Jackson family with a reception at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

The change in temperature this week is an indication that Fall is almost here.  Let's make this a "Fall of Faithfulness" in our worship and Sunday School attendance, in our ministry service, in giving, and MOST
importantly, in having Gospel conversations with people!

See you Sunday for another great day.

Travis
Please join us this Sunday, September 10, for a Farewell Reception honoring James, Trish, Caleb and Josh Jackson, at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.  A love offering for James and his family will be taken this Sunday.  Please mark your envelopes clearly (Love Offering for James) and place it in the offering plate or drop it by the church office.  You may also give through Secure Give "Love Offering for James Jackson."

Helping the Storm Victims in Texas
Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief will soon  deploy to help with the recovery efforts in the aftermath of the epic storm that hit Texas. In the meantime, you can help by donating to Texas Baptist  Disaster Relief at the following link. 100% of gifts given for  Texas at www.sbdr.org/Texas will go to help survivors in Texas. As we give to the Myers-Mallory Offering, a   significant portion of those donations will fund Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief. We will provide more information as it is available.
Please be in prayer for Larry Jenkins, Christina Morgan and Denise Taylor as they go to New York on a mission trip to help our church planter, Adam Bishop, September 16-23.
Make A Difference through The Great Adventure Club !
