HIJACKED!
Jumping out of the ditch, a nefarious-looking group of young men hijacked our van full of teenagers. We were about a mile short of the Christian camp these young people were going to attend. Instead of steering us away, these “hijackers” drove us right smack dab into the middle of the camp.
Instantly the van was surrounded by other camp counselors, the van door was thrown open, and they grabbed the nearest young person. With the whole van of kids and crowd following behind, they put this wide-eyed young person on the biggest slide I have ever seen, sending him right into the lake!

So began one of my Youth for Christ camp experiences with young people. This happened many years ago, and in our current culture we could never do something like that, but it was an experience neither I nor any of the kids I brought with me will ever forget. And that was just the first few moments.
PERSONAL ENCOUNTERS
Just like the camp experiences in Ukraine and Ireland you read about in our recent EVERY newsletter, the rest of their time at camp was filled with other memorable moments: fun, games, new friendships and, most significantly, personal encounters with the living Christ.

Many of the young people attending our Youth for Christ camps around the world come without a relationship with Jesus. The noise of life back home often drowns out the call of Jesus. But there is something about getting away that opens young people up to the life-changing message of Jesus.

Yes, they have a great time and make great memories, but most importantly they hear about Jesus, and many of them respond to the call to follow Him. We are so thankful that you were part of helping over 247,000 young people hear and respond to that call last year. Praise God!
YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN
You can help these young people get rooted and built up in their new faith by supporting the work of Youth for Christ this month. Your gift of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you feel led to give, will enable our YFC staff, like Sasha in Ukraine and Valerie in Ireland, to continue building into these youth.

You are vital to this ministry. You are what makes these camps possible. Your financial help and prayers allow the message to be shared and heard. Your partnership brings the followup that is so important. Won’t you respond today?

In Him,

Bryan Blomker
Director of Development

PS - Thank you for your gifts and for responding today. Through camps, school programs, small groups, and one-on-one times, young people are hearing and responding to the message of Jesus.
