Please bring non-perishable food (canned) to the Hillel SV House between
now and January 12. It will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank for those in need of food.

We're raising money for an Israeli non-profit, Save a Child's Heart! Check out their

Shabbat Dinner is the cornerstone of Jewish life at Hillel of Silicon Valley, and we rely on the support of our wonderful community to provide Shabbat Dinner every Friday night to our five campuses.

Mentor a Student
We are looking for members of the community to help mentor our students - in career advice, for tutoring, and other fields. If you have networking opportunities; or are skilled in math, science, programming, engineering, writing, creating cover letters, or building resumes, please contact Ben at [email protected].

Music Meshugana
Hillel of Silicon Valley and Hillel at Rochester University are proud to present their new project: Music Mashugana!
This is a place where everyone can discover, listen and enjoy Israeli music of all types and genres. Along with publishing music playlists, Daniel and Tal, the Israel Fellows, will do presentations when they introduce Israeli music and teach Hebrew with famous Israeli songs. Do you know people with teens? Invite them to the only high school conference of it's kind in North America - the Club Z Conference on Israel and Middle East, taking place in Silicon Valley on January 13*-15, 2018! The conference specifically focuses on Zionism, Arab-Israeli conflict as presented on college campus, thus preparing them for college before they get there.
ANY Jewish college student will tell you that knowing the facts about Israel is a top priority on campus! CAMERA, SSI, Hasbarah Fellowships and other leading campus groups will be leading hands on workshops and seminars and participants will walk away with skills and understanding of the Jewish story and be inspired to be proud Zionists!

Village House will be providing shelter to 15 women at Temple Emanu-El from December 6, 2017 until January 3, 2018. Temple Emanu-El is seeking volunteers to help . PLEASE NOTE: Temple Emanu-El requires that ALL Tier 1 volunteers refresh their background checks through the Temple. This applies to Intake & Overnight Volunteers. Please complete and return both Protect My Ministry documents which can be found on the Temple's website at
https://templesanjose.org/VillageHouse. The cost of background checks will be covered by the Temple. All other volunteers will be verified against the Megan's Law website (Tier 2).
