Christina's Corner
Summer at H&H!

How many people do you know that lift weights 2-3 times a week, do cardio 3-6 times a week for 20 minutes and eat 5 clean meals each day?

Today 68% of Americans are overweight. If you can say you workout, eat right and do cardio you are considered rare. This is why it's not easy to do it without a positive fit family. It's such a blessing for me to look back over the last 12 years this August and think about how many life changes have happened at H&H. These transformations have happened not because of just one person...but because there is a team of personal trainers whose hearts are focused on the same goals you have.  I can see and feel the energy of the team of leaders at H&H and how much they are influencing others.

How many people around you could you encourage to grab some healthy lifestyle habits rather than a happy hour? Who can you invite to join you for creative cardio or a workout after work?

This month dare to be the one that guides someone to health. Dare to break the uncomfortable conversation of sharing where you workout.

Remember we are who we surround ourselves with. What are you doing to make sure your goals are encouraged by those you hang around with?

What do Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps and Tom Brady have in common? Consistency, personal drive and motivation with results that speak for themselves. I'm honored once again to be chosen as Client of the Month for H&H. It's hard to believe that ten months ago I started working and training with Christina and the staff at H&H. I feel like I have personally taken away something positive and useful from every member of the team while increasing my overall fitness. When I first started this journey last July I didn't know what to expect and that I would or could have this much success. To date, I am down 60 plus pounds and each day I continue to amaze myself at what I am capable of accomplishing.

Lately some of the big things I have been focusing on with Christina and the other team members is consistency, motivation and to continually push myself towards greater results. For me I am finding that being consistent with your program is key to achieving the goals you set out to accomplish. Last week I went on a family vacation to Florida which was a great way to celebrate all the success I've had so far. During my vacation I knew that I didn't want to let myself go and fall off the wagon so I decided to work out every day at the local gym. As the week progressed I reminded myself why I started on this journey and came back from my trip even stronger and more inspired. I can't stress enough how important consistency is in fitness and if you are wanting to reach your goals. From the food we eat to making sure to keep that positive energy going, all things are critical when starting any type of fitness program.

With the summer fast approaching more and more people are coming to H&H and hearing about the success I've had so far and they are wanting to accomplish the same type of success. I take great pride in knowing and hearing every day from other clients on how much I inspire them to want to better their overall fitness. If I could give anyone some advice it would be to start with your goal and be consistent in working with the process to reach your goal. I didn't start with an objective of losing 60 pounds, initially I was only looking for a way to get in better physical shape and lose some weight. Second surround yourself with a support system like H&H to stay motivated and push you toward your actual potential. I can personally attest to the fact that I underestimated myself initally. As always, I would like to thank Christina, the staff of H&H, the clients who train with me, as well as my friends and lastly my family, without your support, none of this would be possible. Remember, if you think you "can" or you think you "can't" - you are right. Why not think you "can"?
