MOFFAT LIBRARY BUILDING PHOTO GALLERY
Library staff have created a   photo gallery to document the historic Restore, Renew & Re-Imagine Moffat Library building renovation and expansion project.

This chronological photo documentary begins with the devastation left from the 2011 Hurricane Irene flood that left the building unusable, on to the demolition of the adjacent buildings to make way for a larger library parking lot, to the April 2016 Groundbreaking Ceremony and on to the subsequent removal of old tile from the library roof and the removal of the extensively-damaged additions to the buildings.

Be sure to periodically check in to keep abreast of a visual story of the beloved historic Moffat Library building!  Updates coming soon!
Healthy Food Substitution Cook-Off

On July 19th our Cookbook Book Club participated in a healthy substitution cook-off. Twelve hardcore cooks and Kevin Radday, owner of Washingtonville's own Betty's Country Kitchen, gathered to sample dishes prepared with a twist - one ingredient replaced by a healthier one!

Entries included: spinach appetizers, quinoa Santa Fe shrimp, bite-sized quiches, tofu with sesame sauce, cinnamon chips with dip and a lemon and blueberry cake!  Can you guess what the healthy food substitutions were?

The winner was the quinoa Sante Fe shrimp, created by Victoria Camacho, who now assumes the title of "(Healthy) Iron Chef of Washingtonville."  Kevin Radday was suitably impressed!  Join our Cookbook Book Club and see what wonderful creations you and your neighbors can share!  Call us or look on our Events Calendar for more information!
