Students at Orient-Macksburg Elementary School held their first literacy night of this school year. IPTV offered one of the four stations available to families. IPTV Education staff worked with families about how to do similar activities at home. Students also played vocabulary and reading games on iPads with their families.

Virtual Pre-K (VPK) is a hands-on learning resource developed for preschool teachers, parents and their children. Created by a team from Chicago Public Schools, Virtual Pre-K demonstrates concepts and skills taught in a preschool classroom and offers ways for parents to extend them at home and out in the community. There are five lessons plans, complete with two additional at-home activities for families.

December 7 marks the 75th anniversary of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. In recognition, WYES and The National WWII Museum are hosting a free Electronic Field Trip, "Remember Pearl Harbor," for teachers and students. Register now for this field trip.
