If you read the New York Times over Labor Day weekend, you may already know the exciting news that the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum has announced today's release of their digital collections.  On their site -  collection.baseballhall.org  - you will be able to access never before seen digital images from Babe Ruth's scrapbooks (compiled by his manager). Over the coming weeks, you will be able to digitally discover rare materials relating to Jackie Robinson, the first five inductees, and so much more! New digital materials will be released each Wednesday.  Learn more from our press release here.

I am so very proud of HistoryIT's role in this digital process. The Hall of Fame partnered with HistoryIT in 2015 to create a strategic plan that will help guide the Hall as it evolves the way its collection  is accessed. We believe that historical materials are just as valuable to the general public as to the scholar and are delighted to partner  with this storied institution for its digitization initiative to broaden the reach of their extraordinary collection.

I hope you share in my excitement at the onset of the Baseball Hall of Fame's materials becoming available digitally. And I look forward to sharing more about it soon!

Enjoy!
