Opportunities for Mission
Midnight Run

As this is Memorial Day Weekend, Midnight Run is in need of extra helping hands!! Come at 7 pm this Saturday (5/27) to pack up food and then stay and participle in the Run itself.   For more information contact Rudy Whyte by e-mail [email protected] or phone 914-725-8483.

On behalf of Hitchcock Midnight Run and the Midnight Run Organization as a whole, I would like to thank Annie Jones and the entire gala committee for their tireless work in making the fundraiser of  May 5th, 2017 a success. Midnight Run will receive $14,000 which will be shared between the Hitchcock branch and the parent organization.
H itchcock has faithfully supported the Midnight Run mission over the past twenty-five years, and our friends on the street thank you for your kindness and generosity. It is because of that compassion that we are able to serve countless people on the streets each month, providing food, clothing, toiletries and friendship to our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
We appreciate your support and thank God for our friends at Hitchcock church.

Respectfully submitted,
Rudyard Whyte and Tracey Tsai

Soup Kitchen
Third Tuesday of the Month

Soup Kitchen help needed!

On the third Tuesday of each month (except July and August)  Hitchcock women prepare a meal for 150 folks and take it up to Grace Church in White Plains.   Preparations start at 9:00 AM in the kitchen, and we are usually through by 10:15 AM.  This is a "hands on" opportunity, so come join!

Thrift
Monday Mornings

Every Monday morning, the Thrift Shop is open from 10 AM until 12:30 PM! Why not stop by and browse the racks of clothing for all ages, handbags, lovely china and glassware, toys and much, much more? We also hold two big Tag Sales a year, one in the fall and one in the spring.

The profits from the sale of merchandise are given out to organizations that support women and children, both here and abroad. At our Fall Happening we raised $4,200, which we divided between Midnight Run and El Centro Hispano. Just from our Monday Morning operations we were able to write two checks, each for $1000, to Beyond Borders and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. Beyond Borders is on the ground in Haiti helping villages rebuild from the devastation of Hurricane Matthew. PDA is working with communities in the southeastern United States as they too rebuild after Matthew.

So, please visit the shop - you will find bargains and treasures - and help support a very important mission of PW. And if you would like to get involved, we are ALWAYS looking for extra hands to help sort and price - just show up and we will put you to work!! SEE YOU ON MONDAY MORNING!

Are you looking for really good food?
Do you want to directly support local farms?

Good Food Farmers Network (GFF) could be the answer for you! GFF was founded in 2014 by  Hilary  Corsun, an active member of HPC during her Scarsdale days (SHS '02). She is now a farmer in Columbia County, NY and coordinates GFF, a farmer-owned enterprise working to support sustainable agriculture and beginning farmers.

Deliveries are fully customizable and delivered directly to your home or office. Everything offered is produced without genetically modified organisms, without pesticides, and without synthetic fertilizers, and with the highest degree of animal welfare and environmental stewardship. Available items include organically grown vegetables and fruit, grassfed meats, pastured poultry and eggs, and more! For more information, please visit  www.GoodFoodFarmers.com or call or email  Hilary: 914-874-4459 (cell),  [email protected]. Many HPC members participate, so be sure to ask around!
