Hoffman CFO Team members have been out and about in the community to support businesses operating in the DMV. By sharing our knowledge and experience, businesses become more savvy in navigating the regulations.
Michelle Hoffman joined Steve Cordi (Deputy CFO, DC Office of Tax and Revenue) and Darryl Maxwell (DC Bar Pro Bono Center) in the April Washington DC Economic Partnership Entrepreneur Road Map Monthly Speaker Series speaking on the topic, "The CFO Perspective: Understanding and navigating tax requirements and benefits in the District." Topics included the status of capital gains tax breaks for owners of Qualified High Tech Companies and managing the "DC high-five" tax id structure.
On May 11th, the CFO Series Panel welcomes Hoffman CFO's Principal Ron Kaiser and presents "What makes a Good CFO?" Executives will answer the following questions: As your business grows, how do your needs and your CFO's role change? How should CFO's prepare for the next level? How do you make that transition from CFO to CEO? What is the audit chair really looking for?
