Holiday Time Is Upon Us: Support Your Local Farms!

What could be nicer than having the family gather around the holiday table with farm-fresh Oregon-grown meat and produce as a centerpiece? Order your turkey and beef from Drizzlewood Farm, meat (including lamb!) and poultry from SuDan Farm, and frozen berries, jams and syrups from Schmid Family Farm. All are located on the Molalla Country Farm Loop. And, of course, don't forget the Oregon wine!

Oregon Farm Loop Gift Guide
When it comes to gifts, nothing is more appreciated then a handpicked local item--these aren't your average run-of-the-mill big box store gifts, you are supporting local farmers and putting a smile on someone's face at the same time. We call that a win-win. Here are some of our favorite ideas:

Out on the Farmlandia Farm Loop you can pick up a gift certificate for a cooking class or farm stay out at The Kitchen at Middleground Farm, farm-themed toys and books at Haider Farm Store and Binder Books and shop for lavender-themed gifts and treats from Barn Owl Nursery's special November shopping dates.

On the Canby Farm Loop you can pick up (or ship!) some amazing chocolates from Puddin' River Chocolates or some fabulous nuts, candies and gift baskets from the Pacific Hazelnut Candy Factory. 

And don't forget to stop by Alpacas at Marquam Hill Ranch on the Molalla Country Farm Loop for garments, accessories, home decor and more, courtesy of their four-legged habitants!

Many wineries on the Farm Loops open up their doors for extended hours on the holiday weekend--take advantage! Most will have a fee, please check their individual websites.

The Classic Christmas Experience

Find the perfect Christmas Tree at Merrywood Farm in this family forest setting. There are pony rides, a warm barn for hot cider, wreaths and, of course, Christmas Trees! They offer U-Cut, Pre-Cut or We-Cut options for picking up your favorite fir.
