Happy Holidays!
We recently photographed our charming Contemporary Cottage Kitchen solution, ready for the Holiday Season!
The most impactful change was removing the wall that was originally in-between the Kitchen and the Dining Room. It created an open atmosphere, added natural light to both rooms, and extra seating for this young family.
The most important goal was to keep the newly renovated kitchen to look as if it had always been a part of this 1927 cottage, located in Larchmont, NY. Our favorite details included the handmade imperfectly shaped subway tiles utilized as a backsplash behind the cooktop and around the window. Another was the strategically placed open shelving that kept the modest sized room open and airy. Vintage elements such as the cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures and island light with Edison bulbs completed our Contemporary Cottage style.
