Have you invested in your career; in your future? Do you have outstanding student loans? Then you have already begun to invest in your career. Are you an ASID member? Well of course you are if you're reading this! Are your fellow design associates also members of ASID? If not, you should invite them to join the society and discover all the benefits of becoming a member and they too can begin to invest in their careers.

Being an ASID member is only a small part of investing in your career. The next step to investing in your future is by "giving back"; by volunteering within the industry. Join a committee as well as attend the society functions/events. Networking, meeting new people and learning about all of the newest finishes, equipment and technology available is another smart way to invest in your career. You can exchange knowledge and information with your peers as well as interface with seasoned professionals.
