Abraham & Mary Lincoln: The Long and the Short of It
Presented by Steve & Sharon Wood
Sunday, February 11 @ 2pm
Lawrence Barn
Join us for a living history program set in 1861. Having only recently arrived in Washington, the Lincolns are seen spending some quiet time together and reminiscing about the distinctly different paths that led each of them to Springfield, Illinois, where they met, married and began their family. Despite their different backgrounds, they shared strong political ambitions and worked together to secure Lincoln's election to the Presidency. After the program, the Woods will step out of character and answer audience questions.
