PRINCIPAL'S LETTER

Dear Holy Name families,

Happy Advent season! One thing I love most about our community is how diverse we are so the time of Advent might be unfamiliar for some of us. Advent is a wonderful season of preparation that lasts for four weeks - it began last Sunday and ends on Christmas Eve. Your children will be learning about Advent in the coming weeks. If you are interested in learning more about the history and traditions of this season, please click here.

Our Baby Layette and Toy Collection Drives continue this week. Thank you for your donations - we appreciate all your help in giving to others. The Preschool Christmas Show is this Thursday in the school gym at 5PM- we wish them much luck as it is the first performance for many of them!

This Thursday we will be having a special celebration with our Preschool. All students are invited to wear pajamas to school and we will decorate cookies together (Please no pajama short sets).  Friday is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception which is a holy day of obligation. We will attend the 9AM mass this Friday in place of our regularly scheduled Thursday mass. As a result there will be no spirit wear or free dress on Friday.

Saturday morning our 8th Graders have a mock HSPT exam, and Sunday is our big Sports Basement Fundraiser at 3PM. There are great deals and it will be a fun event - we hope you can make it!

The 2017 year is almost over! Please remember to turn your church donations in if you are on the Active Parish Supporter Plan.

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Thanks,
Natalie Cirigliano, Principal

PS- A big thank you to the "elves" who came in this weekend to decorate the school for the kids!
