"Paul patiently walked us through all of our options and helped us develop a strong game plan in this competitive market. Paul's attention to detail and ability to see potential trouble helped us to realize the true value of houses that we looked at. He quickly recognized exactly what we were looking for and helped fine tune our search process so that we could efficiently examine houses. Paul's knowledge of home builders, styles and era in which the houses were built helped us avoid looking at houses that did not fit our requirements. Paul made it easy for us and we highly recommend working with him!"

Home Improvements - 2017 Cost vs Value Report
Have you contemplated a home improvement project and wondered which projects retain the highest resale value? Each year, Remodeling Magazine releases its Cost vs Value Report, analyzing the average Job Cost vs Resale Value for 29 popular remodeling projects.
Use this LINK to view the entire Cost vs Value Report describing mid-range and upscale projects. The Cost Recouped or Return on Investment (ROI) is calculated by dividing the Resale Value by the Job Cost. The higher the Cost Recouped/ROI percentage, the better the investment.
Paul's General Observations/Comments:
The average Return on Investment (ROI) for home improvements is 65%
None of the home improvement projects exceeded a 90% ROI
The mid-range, minor kitchen remodel is a smart investment with an average ROI of 87.8%
Upscale projects have a lower ROI than mid-range projects
Expect job costs to continue to rise due to increasing material and labor costs
Don't look at home maintenance as a home improvement, instead look at it as the cost of homeownership.
Make universally appealing selections when updating and remodeling. Just because you like purple cabinets and pink counter tops doesn't mean anyone else will.
Not listed in the report: Extending wood floor throughout the main level of your home is a smart investment.
Many of my clients wait to make improvements until just before they sell and nearly everyone regrets not having the chance to enjoy the new upgrades. Don't wait, update today and enjoy!
