HOME IS WHERE THE HEARTH IS

Fireplaces are often an architectural focal point in a room, and can even be a prominent design element to your home.

Your fireplace speaks to the character, warmth and style of your space. There are several types of material that can be used to create a fireplace surround,
each offering a different style from traditional to contemporary. Examples of some more commonly used materials include stone, slate, brick, marble, ceramic or glass tiles, and more.

The design of the fireplace surround varies greatly as well. For instance, you may prefer an artistic mosaic composition or the clean, contemporary effect of marble.

Many older homes have a cozy, rustic ambiance with stonework such as those shown below:

Marble and tile can give you a more modern look like these images show:

It's amazing the difference a fireplace renovation can make, and it offers a very effective way to update a room while adding value and beauty to your home. Take a look at these before and after images. The transition is stunning.
