Greetings!

Today 400 people from all corners of the state and all walks of life are gathering at the State Capitol to talk about homelessness!

We will be meeting with individual legislators, packing a hearing room to show our opposition to Voter ID (10:15a, SOB 5) and supporting testifiers in our ask for $40 million in bonding for affordable housing (12:30, SOB 10).

Can't join us? Here's how you can be a part of Homeless Day on the Hill: Call or email your legislator and tell them you are with us in spirit - ask them to support housing in the bonding bill and to oppose "welfare reforms" that will lead to increased family homelessness!

Legislative Priorities

At Homeless Day on the Hill we'll be lobbying for $40 million housing bonding bill to preserve, restore, and create affordable housing and supportive housing.

We'll be lobbying against "Welfare Reform 2.0." While there are several bad "reform" bills, our top priority is preventing cuts to families who turn to public assistance (H.F. 2080).
