Fellow Marine parents,

The mission of MarineParents.com, Inc., is to provide support, information, and services to Marines and their family members, and create opportunities for the public to support our troops through the organization's outreach programs and Facebook groups. The Luminary Initiative gives anyone  the chance to honor those who have fallen. Read more about the Luminary Initiative and find out how you can take the pledge in our first article.

In our other articles, meet a volunteer and a Team Marine Parents participant, find important information about Marine Combat Training, Warrior Support Team retreats, month of the military child, and unit information pages.

God bless and Semper Fi!

Luminary Initiative: Take the Pledge

On Gold Star Family Day, we come together to honor those who have lost a loved one serving in the U.S. military by lighting a luminary on the last Sunday in September.

Throughout America's history, from the Revolutionary War to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, families have seen their loved ones heed the call of duty; and with that duty comes the ultimate burden that these families must bear. Lighting a luminary on Gold Star Family Day lets them know they don't stand alone.

Month of the Military Child

April is the Month of the Military Child, and Marine Parents would like to take this opportunity to recognize the sacrifices and support of the approximately 2 million U.S. military children 18 years old and younger who have one or both parents serving in the armed forces. As difficult as it can be for a child to grow up in a military family, that challenge can be even greater for a military child with a parent who is wounded, ill, or killed.

Warrior Support Team: Retreats

The Warrior Support Team™ (WST) strives to provide resources and fellowship to wounded, ill, and injured troops and veterans, including those living with post-traumatic stress, as well as to provide resources and support to family members. You can view a list of Warrior Support Team retreats on our website by clicking the link below.
